Medical disclaimer

Last updated 19 October 2026

In an emergency, for example if you think you or your baby have swallowed something harmful, are having an allergic reaction or feel very unwell, call your local emergency number or poison-control service now. Do not wait for an app.

General information only

MamaSure provides general information about foods, drinks, cosmetics, recipes, medicines and supplements during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not create a clinician–patient relationship.

How results are produced

Results are generated by an artificial-intelligence model (Google Gemini) instructed to follow mainstream public health guidance and to cite only sources from a curated library of public guidance. AI can be wrong or incomplete. Product labels, recipes and formulations vary between brands, countries and over time, and photos may be unclear. Each result shows its confidence, missing information and sources so you can judge it for yourself.

Your situation matters

Results cannot take into account your medical history, allergies, stage of pregnancy, your baby's age or health, other medicines you take, or amounts and frequency. Always check with your midwife, doctor, pharmacist or other qualified professional before making decisions about your health or your baby's health.

Medicines

Never stop, skip or change a prescribed medicine because of a MamaSure result. Stopping some treatments suddenly can be harmful to you and your baby. Discuss any concern with the person who prescribed it, your midwife or a pharmacist first.

No guarantee of safety

A result such as “Generally considered OK” describes what public guidance typically says. It is not a guarantee that a product is safe for you. Sources are referenced for their public guidance and do not endorse MamaSure.
