Does MamaSure replace my midwife, doctor or pharmacist?
No. MamaSure gives general information to help you make everyday choices and know what to ask. It can't take your personal history into account. If you're unsure, or something feels wrong, talk to your healthcare team. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Where do the answers come from?
Each scan is analysed by an AI model (Google Gemini) that is instructed to follow mainstream public health guidance. It can only cite sources from our curated library of public guidance, such as the NHS, ACOG, FDA, EFSA, WHO, LactMed and MotherToBaby, and every link is checked against that list. When the evidence is limited or unclear, the result says so.
How accurate is it?
AI can make mistakes, labels can be incomplete, and recipes change. That's why every result shows a confidence level, what information was missing, and the sources behind it. Use it as a starting point, not a final word.
Is pregnancy guidance different from breastfeeding guidance?
Often, yes. Something best avoided in pregnancy may be fine while breastfeeding, and the other way round. You choose which one applies to each scan, and the answer is written for that situation only.
What about medicines and supplements?
We're extra careful here. Results always recommend checking with a pharmacist, midwife or doctor, and MamaSure will never tell you to stop a prescribed medicine. Stopping some treatments suddenly can be harmful.
Do you keep my photos?
No. Photos are processed in memory to create your result and are not stored. The text of your scans and the results are saved to your history so you can look back. You can delete any scan, your whole history, or your account at any time.
What counts as a scan?
Each completed analysis counts as one scan. Scans that fail or can't read your photo aren't counted. The free plan includes 3 scans a month and Premium includes 100; allowances reset on the 1st of each month.
Can I cancel Premium?
Yes, anytime from your account. You'll keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
